The Building Futures festival establishes a cross-institutional learning ecosystem in the Eurodelta, where universities and knowledge partners open their expertise to professionals through a coordinated week of lifelong learning. By aligning educational offerings within a single annual week, the festival creates an accessible and dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, professional upskilling, and collaboration across the region.

The idea originated as a continuation of the efforts of the ASSET Interreg Project to strengthen circularity across the EuroDelta megaregion and is combined with the NEB Academy ambitions to reskill-upskill the current workforce. The festival is set to take place from 1–5 February 2027.
